American friends — when you're speaking to someone from another country, how specific do you get about your location? City only? City and state? City and country? I'm from Denver, and I'm never sure what level of specificity to use 🤔

      It's not New York City, where everyone in the world knows about it, but if I say "I'm from Denver, Colorado, USA" it feels too verbose, and "I'm from Colorado, America" makes me sound like I'm gonna ask you to wire me money under tenuous reasoning.
