The death of the seditionist at the hands of a cop is bad actually — stay focused: the goal shouldn't be that everyone, regardless of race, is murdered by police with impunity, but rather that everyone, regardless of race, is safe from being murdered by police.
Human life has value and a right to persist. I believe there should be consequence for the terrorist insurrection; I do not believe that consequence should be death.
"Play stupid games win stupid prizes" feels an extremely vindicating Twitter dunk I am certain — but instead, consider that the police's job was to serve and protect the capitol, presumably from ~terrorist siege~, but what they did was:
- Fail to serve nor protect
- Kill someone
