TED talks were the beginning of the collapse in civilization. Realizing any topic could be rendered to sound meaningful if merely wrapped in a timbre and tempo of breathless wonderment meant that eventually no topics would have meaning
Also "thanks for coming to my TED talk" is a milquetoast and impotent excuse for a Tweet suffix — alike to "that's it that's the tweet" and "let that sink in"
