wanted to get away from using goodreads onto something self-hosted. i have intent to open-source this bad boy, so folks can easily share their own reading lists to their personal sites. would be sick to make it a 1-click deploy, with like a tiny CRUD API.

now i'm just pontificating, but I know one of the weakest aspects of my design ability is consistently the use of color. especially with a gallery-type project like this, I don't even know where to start with color pairing so I just instinctively reach for the grayscale standby.
maybe someth like this would be more realistic and flexible? idk every time i blink i go back and forth between thinking this is sick asf and thinking it's dribbble backwater trash lol 
line work gotta go for sure. need to lock in type — i always wanna reach for some condensed grotesque skinny ass gen z thing and it never works out for me
