i gotta say, with all the incredible advancements and qol improvements to the web platform in the last five and ten years, it feels wild that this is still the first CSS i’m writing on any project 
FTR i know there’s no obvious way to update this behavior without breaking countless legacy sites! i like that the web is a little idiosyncratic; it feels like a little soul in the machine 💛
